Elgin, Ill. - The Elgin Community College baseball team accomplished its second conference sweep of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans improve to 9-15 overall and 4-2 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play.

Game One: Elgin 8, Waubonsee 1

Josh Caccia earned his second win of the season with two strikeouts in six innings. Sean Sherwood pitched one inning of relief and did not give up any hits.

Team leaders included Wyatt Sabalaskey in RBI with four and Connor Lund with three runs on three hits.

Game Two: Waubonsee 4, Elgin 6

Nic DiMarzio picked up his first win as he pitched two innings of relief with one strikeout. Alex Schiefer made the start and collected five strikeouts in five innings.

Lund registered three RBI with another three hits as Nathan Gerritsen tallied three runs on three hits.

The Spartans host Triton for a doubleheader on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.
